"Battle Cry of Innocence", by Leon Benson
We are in prison for crimes we didn’t commit….
Let’s represent for all the ones that been through this S#@t…! For many years and tears, we have paid the price…..and
God chose us as the living
sacrifice……
I keep on hurting from all this agony ….I see faces of the prosecuters when I sleep, this pain is deep…..World I really hate
to even trouble
Youuu….but life hard living as a “P.O.W”….
The system filthy, becuz they found us guilty….I heard the verdict hammer slammin man it almost kilt me….but the world
don’t
feel me….
We seen our mama’s cry as their tears hit the floe….I want to see the SUN raise and watch mine grow…..
This is a space age genocide!!!….they put us behind prison walls or call it a justifiable – homocide…!!
Being falsely convicted got me spiritually educated….and my will to show the world the justice system is corrupted just done
elevated…”We gone make it”….
While you huggin the bars and sheddin tears….Its lonely gaining the strength in the struggle over the years…..
“So I dedicate this poem to anyone that’s doing time….and God knows y’all didn’t commit the crime!!!!!”
Watch out for the nefarious in office….that “G B"! placing more innocent in coffins….and I “wish” this entire country
straight take a “dush”……
For the “propaganda”!….and release VINCENT SIMMONS from Angola slamma!!!
Inspired by Gary Graham's last words! 2000,
Dedicated to: Vincent Simmons, 7-3-2003)
